The Bulgarian violinist Zornitsa Ilarionova is a student of the world-renowned Professor Zakhar Bron at
the prestigious Queen Sofia Higher School of Music in Madrid, as well as the prominent violinist Mario
Hosen at New Bulgarian University and Professor Pavel Vernikov at the Santa Cecilia Music Academy in
Bergamo, Italy.
She has received valuable advice from great violinists and professors such as Augustin Dumay, Mihaela
Martin, Dora Schwarzberg, Midori, and the legendary violinist Ivry Gitlis. Several international
competitions, of which Zornitsa is a laureate, have supported her brilliant debut on the world stage –
International Competition “Rising Stars” in Berlin, Manhattan International Competition in New York,
Johann Sebastian Bach International Competition in Japan, Rudolf Barshai International Violin
Competition in St. Petersburg, Medici International Music Competition in London, and Rudolf Kreutzer
Violin Competition in Belgium.
Recent highlights include successful concerts at Salle Gaveau in Paris, participation in France Musique
broadcasts, and solo performances with Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Izmir Philharmonic, Antalya
Symphony Orchestra, and Bilkent Chamber Orchestra. Zornitsa Ilarionova has conducted masterclasses
internationally (in Austria, Spain, Singapore, and Bulgaria). In December 2022, the talented violinist
will debut at the concert hall of the renowned Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. In November
2024, she was awarded the prestigious "Golden Rose" distinction for her overall contribution to the art
of music.
